Bella Mazza, Dance/Movement Therapist

Bella Mazza (she/her) is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Board-Certified Dance/Movement Therapist committed to trauma-informed, somatic, and client-centered care. Her approach blends expressive arts and movement-based therapy with deep listening, embodied safety, and relational healing. She works collaboratively with clients to foster emotional regulation, self-awareness, and connection — especially for those navigating the effects of identity formation, trauma, systemic oppression, and complex life transitions.

Bella is passionate about creating inclusive, affirming spaces for individuals and families. She advocates for equity within mental health systems and brings a social justice lens to her work with individuals impacted by structural inequity. Bella is especially dedicated to community care within LGBTQ+ spaces, working with individuals to reclaim belonging and embodiment.

Her work is rooted in the belief that every individual deserves to feel safe, seen, and affirmed in the fullness of who they are.

With clinical experience across community, educational, and in-home settings, Bella integrates nonverbal communication, dance/movement therapy, and trauma informed practices to support healing that begins in the body. Her foundation includes a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Dance/Movement Therapy from Lesley University. In both her individual work and her group facilitation, Bella brings warmth, curiosity, and cultural humility. She centers dignity, collaboration, and embodied resilience as tools for transformation and connection.
