Darling Mental Health therapists are here to support you and your voice in navigating a world that may or may not feel overwhelming. We understand that many things are confusing and difficult to articulate when seeking specialty services related to sexuality and gender and are happy to provide you a safe environment to learn and understand what you need to find authenticity in life and support you in whatever way is holistic to you and therapeutically aligned with our mission and values.

Even if you are not coming to us explicitly for sex therapy, or gender-affirming care, we are happy to address your needs with a client-centered approach and have clinicians that practice the following styles of therapy:

  • Humanistic
  • Sensory Integration
  • Brief Psycho-Dynamic
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)
  • Motivational Interviewing (MI)
  • Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)
  • Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT)
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)

We provide services to children as young as 6 and take most insurances (for a complete list please see our services page). Some clinicians are virtual only, but any client seeing a virtual therapist is entitled to reserve our sensory room for a safe place to receive your therapy – request your therapist to reserve the space for you whenever needed, we ask for at least a day’s notice.

If you are someone in the Worcester community who sees a virtual therapist elsewhere and would like to reserve our Sensory Room for a safe and private space please make a request by emailing info@darlingmentalhealth.com – reservations are $10 per hour.

Questions that help guide the individual therapy process:

  • What is my immediate/long-term goal for my mental/emotional/spiritual health?
  • What feedback from therapy has been helpful/neutral/unhelpful?
  • What relationship do I have with my body and how is that affecting my mental health?
  • What changes in my social constellation do I feel I need with regard to boundaries, expectations, and vulnerability?
  • Whom do I trust, and what kind of transparency do I experience in my life?
