Company Philosophy
Darling Mental Health is a value aligned company that serves the most vulnerable people with care and compassion, aligned with a decolonized code of ethics that recognizes queer people of color have the greatest need for a safe space to heal.
With a strong ethos in providing equitable care to vulnerable populations in Worcester, this private practice contracts with most insurances and has sliding scale options for those in need. We serve all people regardless of their demographics or identity, but do specialize in providing space for those questioning their sexual and gender identities and believe in providing an intersex inclusive lens to all education and guidance in regards to the moral and ethical support of individuals in their discernment process regarding transitioning. All interviews include a discussion about what education, support, or supervision you may need to feel comfortable with the ethical expectations of this practice.
People also seek out services at Darling Mental Health for issues related to: Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Substance Abuse, Compulsive Behaviors, Sexual Dysfunction, Harm Reduction, Boundaries & Relationships, Queer Family Planning, Personality Disorders, Dissociative symptoms and other intersections. Interest, comfort, and experience with any of these issues is helpful and we ask you speak to what elements you feel confident in supporting other therapist’s work related to these topics in your application and during your interview.
