This workshop introduces sex therapists to the world of sex toys and sexual wellness products and offers knowledge that can enhance client support. Participants will learn about different categories of products and how they can be integrated into treatment plans to address desire, arousal, pleasure, bodily autonomy, and relational dynamics. We’ll discuss safety, accessibility, cultural considerations, and strategies for talking with clients about these tools in affirming, nonjudgmental ways. 

Course objectives:

  • Gain confidence in navigating discussions and recommendations surrounding sex toys and wellness products with clients to better support clients’ sexual wellbeing.
  • Become familiar with the wide range of sexual wellness and pleasure toys on the market, their uses, and safety.
  • Understand therapeutic uses for sex toys and their role in therapy.

This course will be offered in person and online (synchronous) and will require pre-registration.
