Cancelations
We ask for 24 hours’ notice for any cancelations related to individual, group, family, or similarly scheduled therapy services. Grace is typically given if notice is given ASAP when a medical emergency or other similar event happens, this grace is initially determined by the individual provider in reporting the appointment as a no-show whenever the cancelation protocol is not followed. Our fee for less than 24 hours notice and a non-emergency situation being disclosed as the reason for a missed appointment is $25.
Refunds
Rarely are any mental health services for therapy or individual sex education services provided and then a request for a refund occurs, however, there have been instances of over-billing or mistaken collection of fees due to technical error for an individual service. Initial reconciliation of these events is set up to provide the client with clear communication about having a credit to be used towards their next service and we strongly encourage any person who feels they are owed a refund to reach out to the manager so that we may assess the situation. Refunds in the form of a written check will be provided whenever a person has terminated services with Darling Mental Health and insurance processing indicates one is due. This check will be cut by the end of the business week when insurance has informed us of this and mailed to the patient’s address on file.
Continuing Education Events
Cancelation Policy
A course registration may be cancelled up to 1 week prior to the date of the course without a fee.
Cancellation of a registered course that is less than 7 days, but more than 24 hours prior to the event will result in a 50% fee of the advertised registration price.
Cancelation notices less than 24 hours or missed attendance to a continuing education event is subject to the full fee. A credit may be assigned for a future registration if clear communication is provided as to why you were suddenly unable to attend and is determined at the discretion of the Director.
In the event Darling Mental Health is unable to provide the course as advertised a postponement date of at least 2 weeks will be provided and our cancelation policy timeframes reset.
Refunds
Only granted in response to compliance with the cancellation policy and for which payment in advance was made. No other refunds are granted.
Any refund granted will be less credit card processing fees (3%).
