I am a clinical social worker with a passion for trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent-affirming mental health care. I work with adolescents 15+ and adults of all ages, and offer services via telehealth for people living anywhere in MA.
I think therapy should not only be for discussing your problems, but also for recognizing and celebrating your strengths. I most strongly align with the worldview of Narrative Therapy because of how it externalizes problems from people– as they say, “The person is not the problem,
the problem is the problem.” My goal is to help clients shift from believing that there is something “wrong” with them, to noticing the ways that they exist in relationship to their problems, as well as their strengths/abilities, values, and hopes.
I got into this field because I want to increase access to mental healthcare for people who often experience discrimination or bias from therapists– including, but not limited to those who are LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, disabled, sex workers, immigrants, people in larger bodies, and people in non-monogamous relationships. I have worked as a counselor for young adults experiencing homelessness, as a domestic violence counselor, and as an outpatient therapist. I am very comfortable with discussing self-injury and suicidality, and believe in collaborative risk assessment and safety planning.
Outside of work I enjoy learning other languages, making art in community, getting lost learning things on Wikipedia, being in nature, fighting for a better world, and doting on my cat.
