Life can be overwhelming. There are many things we want to work on, but we often don’t know where to start. You don’t have to figure out it all out today. You don’t have to feel ashamed for being where you are, or for not knowing how to make the meaningful changes you’ve been wanting. Try focusing on one small thing you can do now. That one step could be reaching out to a therapist and this is where I can help.
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a person-centered and holistic approach, I provide a therapeutic space to explore struggles in a safe and relaxed manner. Slowly, one step at a time, we explore the underlying reasons for your patterns of thoughts/behaviors, and work on developing the skills to make impactful changes. I work to offer a different perspective, out of the box thinking, a wide variety of strategies, and a chance to practice what you want to improve without judgement. With over 12 years of experience in various styles of therapy, such as Motivational Interviewing, Expressive Art Therapy, and Trauma Focused CBT, I work to help you find the right tools for your specific situation. You are the expert on your life, I’m just here to give you the space to flourish.
I primarily work with adults, but I spent years working with children and families, as well as elderly clients. Most recently, I’ve worked with adult second generation Asian immigrants working through strained relationships with parents, generational trauma, as well as pressure to repay families for the sacrifices they made. I also help clients work through grief/loss, depression, anxiety, caregiver/parent support, relationships, trauma, and life changes. Whatever you have going on in your life, I’ll listen attentively and without judgment. I’m here for you.
