Tap In: Creatively incorporating bilateral stimulation (& other key EMDR resources) into sessions

October 13, 2026

6:00PM-7:30PM EST

$60

Presented by Brielle Stovall, LCSW

This training will cover the basics of EMDR, exploring key aspects of the framework, mechanisms at play, and ways to incorporate them into sessions. While the protocol itself is complex and multifaceted, there are aspects of it that can be integrated into various treatment modalities to support the management of several common symptoms and experiences. We will discuss commonly used EMDR coping skills, or resources, and how to install and strengthen these skills using various forms of bilateral stimulation like tapping, movement, and tactile stimulation (Theratappers). These are techniques that can be helpful regardless of whether or not folks are participating in EMDR therapy, and we will also explore ways to individualize these skills to meet clients’ specific needs, strengths, and treatment goals.
