This course is focused on exploring the importance of fantasy in a person’s life as it intersects with their sexuality and relationships. De-stigmatizing kink play, BDSM, and fetishes to support clients in finding healthy and safe (harm-reduced) ways to address play that steps outside of “conventional” sex practices.

Course objectives:

  • Learn about current trends in online sexual lifestyles that include the use of pornography, social media, and other ways people in the kink community connect.
  • Learn about different kinds of BDSM play, the effects it can have on relationships, and the importance of communication.
  • Learn how to de-stigmatize and normalize fetishes to encourage a safe space for clients to express and explore their issues.

This course will be offered virtually via Zoom, will require pre-registration, and will be recorded for quality assurance and evaluation purposes only.

Info and Policies

To receive Continuing Education credits an evaluation must be completed and submitted at the end of the course.

This course meets the requirements of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists and is approved for 3 CE Credits. These CE credits may be applied toward AASECT certification and renewal of certification.
