Unspoken: Identity, Expression & Voice is a structured therapeutic group designed for adolescents ages 13–17 who may struggle with emotional expression, identity development, anxiety, or feelings of isolation. Utilizing creative and expressive interventions such as journaling, visual art, collage, and guided reflective activities, the group provides adolescents with developmentally appropriate ways to explore internal experiences and build self-awareness within a supportive peer environment. This group integrates trauma-informed, strengths-based, and evidence-informed approaches, including elements of narrative therapy, ACT-informed values work, and CBT-informed emotional awareness strategies. Sessions are structured to promote emotional regulation, identity exploration, communication skills, and increased therapeutic engagement while maintaining a safe, low-pressure environment where participation and sharing are always optional.

Objectives:

  • Participants will increase emotional awareness and improve their ability to identify and express thoughts, emotions, and internal experiences through creative and reflective activities.
  • Participants will explore aspects of identity, self-concept, values, and personal experiences in order to strengthen self-understanding and confidence.
  • Participants will develop and practice healthy coping, communication, and self-expression skills within a structured and supportive therapeutic group setting.

This group will be meeting in person and will require pre-registration.
