Hello! Thank you for stopping by my page in your search for a therapist. I know it can feel daunting, and finding the right match in therapy is crucial for success, whether that is me, or I serve as a stepping stone on your journey. I have been a social worker for a decade now, and the therapeutic relationships I have developed over the years is what I am most proud of and enjoy most about what I do.
I bring a certain level of acceptance and non-judgement to therapy that stems directly from the communities I was raised in. I strive to create a space where people feel comfortable to bring out parts of themselves they don’t fully know yet, or have not felt they had space to in other settings. Self-discovery can and should happen at any age, and in any circumstances, and I feel honored that I get to walk alongside my clients while they are on this journey. I have extensive experience with complex trauma, attachment related behaviors, and generational patterns that folks find themselves looking to break free from. Together, we work to find ways to help clients both understand these patterns and find ways to take ownership over their lives despite these being present.
I use a client centered and humanistic approach to therapy, blending cognitive behavioral models with acceptance and commitment therapy. I primarily work with adults currently, though I bring years of experience with a wide range of family structures to my work. I also bring both professional and lived experience in the queer, kink, and ENM/polyamorous communities, and look forward to offering a space that is positive encouraging for folks in these communities who have struggled to find therapists that understand and celebrate any lifestyle that our society has pushed to the outside and made to feel “different.”
Outside of work, you will find me lifting in the gym, hiking, dancing in the kitchen with my quirky black void of a cat, or trying desperately to learn and keep up with the nerd culture my partner is patiently teaching me.
